If you like the tongue tingling flavours of Dan Dan Noodles, you are going to LOVE this.

As I was making Roasted Pork Belly for dinner, I decided to make a spicy Dan Dan Coleslaw to pair with the meat.

OMG this is crazy! You need to try it. If you love Sichuan flavours or are looking for different side ideas, give this a go!

What you’ll need:
Prepackaged Coleslaw (without the dressing)

You could also prepare your own vegetables for this. A selection of white/purple cabbage, some carrots and some finely sliced white onion.

If you do prepare your own, remember to squeeze out as much of the water as you can.

Dan Dan Sauce
1 tbsp of Chilli Oil
1 tbsp of Liquid Aminos
1 tsp of Ginger Garlic Paste
1 tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tbsp of Sichuan Peppercorns
1 tsp of Peanut Butter (or Tahini)
1 tbsp of Sesame Oil

3-4 tbsp of Extra Virgin Oil

Garnish:
Chinese Parsley
Sesame Seeds

1. Chuck away any dressings that come with your prepared coleslaw (it’s full of crap)
2. Mix together the ingredients to make the sauce
3. Pour over the veggies
4. Garnish & dig in.
